Xenia Emulator Keyboard Controls -

Xenia is still a work-in-progress. The emulator supports keyboard input, but it simulates an Xbox 360 controller. In simple terms: every key you press on your keyboard gets translated into a button press on a virtual Xbox 360 gamepad. You cannot (yet) use a keyboard to simulate a keyboard in games (like typing in Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition) without specific hacks. Instead, you are mapping keyboard keys to face buttons (A, B, X, Y), triggers (LT, RT), bumpers (LB, RB), and joysticks.

Therefore, you will never get 1:1 mouse-aim like a native PC shooter unless you use third-party translation tools. Part 2: The Default Keyboard Layout (Out of the Box) When you first run Xenia, the emulator uses a hard-coded keyboard layout. As of the latest master and canary builds, the default controls are as follows:

Now, go configure those keys and enjoy Red Dead Redemption on your laptop’s keyboard. It’s not perfect, but it’s glorious.
