When most people picture Romania, two images clash in a strange battle: the Gothic, fog-drenched peaks of Transylvania (thanks to Bram Stoker) and the brutalist, grey concrete blocks of Bucharest (thanks to 1990s documentaries). Tourists rush to Bran Castle (Dracula’s fake home), snap a photo of the Palace of Parliament, and leave feeling they’ve "done" Romania. romania inedit better
