Search for "DirectX SDK June 2010" on Microsoft’s site. Install it. Inside the Utilities/bin/x64 folder, copy dxcpl.exe .

However, as of late 2024 and beyond, there are cleaner, faster, and more secure alternatives. The 2021 repack is now largely obsolete. If you find it on an old hard drive or a forgotten torrent, treat it with caution. Consider deleting it and replacing it with dgVoodoo 2 or DXVK.

Run dxcpl.exe (from step 1). Add your game’s .exe to the list. Under "Settings," force Feature Level: 11_0 and enable Force Warp for software fallback if needed.
