Deltarune !full! Now
Ralsei is a walking mystery. He looks exactly like Asriel (Kris's absent brother), but wears black robes. He is excessively kind, teaches the player to pacify enemies, and knows the prophecy intimately. Suspiciously, Ralsei is the only Darkner who does not turn to stone when entering a different Dark World (Lancer does). He also seems to break the fourth wall, understanding "Save" files. Fan theories suggest Ralsei is either a manifestation of Kris's grief or the true secret final boss. The "Weird Route": Deltarune’s True Villainy Undertale had the Genocide Route. Deltarune has the Weird Route (aka the SnowGrave route). It is not simply "kill everyone"; it is psychological torture.
Are you ready for the next chapter? In the meantime, go hug a Ralsei plushie. You’ll need the emotional support.
When Toby Fox released Undertale in 2015, it wasn't just a game; it was a cultural event. It redefined what an indie RPG could be, breaking the fourth wall with surgical precision and introducing a morality system that actively judged the player for their curiosity. For years, fans begged for more. In 2018, seemingly out of nowhere, Fox dropped Deltarune —Chapter 1. The internet broke. Deltarune
The game opens with a prophecy. A legend of three heroes—a Human, a Monster, and a Prince from the Dark—who will banish the "Roaring Knight" and balance the "Fountains."
Deltarune is not finished, but it is already a masterpiece of tone. Whether you are here for the banger soundtrack ("BIG SHOT" will live in your head rent-free), the shipping wars (Kris/Susie? Noelle/Berdly?), or the Gaster conspiracy theories, one thing is certain: Ralsei is a walking mystery
Your choices don't matter. But the journey? The journey is terrifyingly beautiful.
It is a game where the "Mercy" button exists, but it feels desperate. It is a game where you want to be friends with everyone, but you can feel the strings of the puppeteer (Toby Fox) pulling your arms. It is hilarious, with jokes about internet trolls and anime conventions; but it is also horrifying, with themes of loneliness, loss of agency, and consent. Suspiciously, Ralsei is the only Darkner who does
The main antagonist who creates the Dark Fountains. Who is the Knight? Is it the mysterious figure seen at the end of Chapter 2? Is it a new character? The most popular (and terrifying) theory is that it is Kris themselves. When they rip out the soul at night, are they going to create the next Fountain?
