Many 98K tabs are written for Standard tuning (E A D G B E) . However, some "cover" versions use Drop D to make the low chugs easier. Verify the "Tuning" field in the top left of Guitar Pro before you play.
Mute the strings with your left hand. Just play the picking pattern. The 98K riff uses strict alternate picking (Down-Up-Down-Up). Guitar Pro can display pick direction; ensure it is enabled in the preferences. 98k Guitar Pro Tabs-
Open the GP file, press play, and watch the cursor move across the tablature. Listen for the "snap" of the palm muting. Many 98K tabs are written for Standard tuning (E A D G B E)
